Change Your Vocabulary to Improve Your Online Marketing
Did you realise that the words you use influences how you think? We build our understanding of the world with the words we use.
And when it comes to online marketing there are two phrases that will block how you see the world.
Once upon a time, when the internet was young, it was cool to use the phrases virtual reality and cyberspace. They sounded futuristic. They had that zing that said things were changing.
Well, things have changed, and these phrases blinker your vision for seeing the real world in which we exist. There’s not two different realities or spaces in which we exist. There’s one. One where we seamlessly shift between online and offline environments. We occupy both continually and symbiotically. We don’t see the online environment as part of some other reality, or space – it’s part of our everyday world and activities.
If you’re not thinking in terms of a continually integrated online offline environment, you’re missing out on half of the picture! So ditch cyberspace and virtual reality from your vocab and stop living in the past.
